Curtumes Fabrício, SA. finds it’s origin back in the year of 1926, when the Sociedade de Curtumes do Dão was founded.
Later on, Fabrício Lopes dos Santos, became a partner and in 1947 acquired the company. In 1950 he moved to the industrial site in Vila Verde – Seia, were it still stands to this day.
Back then, electric power was not yet available in what was then a remote location. Only years later, with the arrival of electric power did the company start buying leather machines.
It’s a family company, with the third generation presently in management.
Over the years the brand “Fabricios” has naturally become the company’s visible image.
“Fabricios” is a reference in quality production of lamb, sheep and goat skins for garments, shoe uppers and bags.
With increasing know-how and quality improvement, this traditional company is present in the most important international leather fairs and has been working with major designers and brands, sending it’s leather all over the world.
